About

What started us on our path to the U.S. of A

and opening an embroidery shop?

We came to America to start a new life. We came to America, the land of the Free and the home of the Brave because we believe here is the place where families can begin again. America offers many the chance to take their skills, work hard and achieve a good standard of living. Here we are free from war, tyranny and corruption. We are proud to be here and we are starting to spread our roots. We love this country and everything it stands for. We have visited the Nation's Capitol and we cannot wait to see more. Yana's dream is to see the buffalo in Wyoming and North Dakota, but read below to understand what we do and why we do it. We have had quite a long journey and we are glad to end one part of that journey here in America where we intend to start a new chapter in our lives.

The russian invasion of our homeland

On 24 February 2022, russia invaded Ukraine in an escalation of the russo-Ukrainian War that started in 2014. The invasion was the biggest attack on a European country since World War II. It is estimated that russia's aggression has cost Ukraine tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian casualties and hundreds of thousands of military casualties.

Our Team

+Hello, my name is Yana Bailo! I am a mother, a wife and a master seamstress. My husband is a former Police Officer from the Ukrainian regional police force.  We grew up near Sumy, Ukraine. When the fighting started many families, including my own, fled West. We lived in Poland for a while, then Canada trying to find a home and eek out a living. Getting restarted is very challenging, however we found a friend who we had worked with delivering aid to my country. He sponsored us and we came and live with his family in Northern Virginia, just outside Washingtons D.C.  We were not able to bring much with us, so I brought my family and a lot of old world experience as a Master Seamstress. I am a fully certified (Diplom with honors) and am licensed on all types of sewing equipment. I especially enjoy working with all types of fabric and making fine creations for the dinner table or functional clotheses that you can wear. With our good friend, we have purchased all the equipment we needed to start our very own small business. And here we are! We hope you will enjoy our creations an visit us often. We create new things EVERY day! Yes, we love what we do, to create and we if we are not fulfilling orders we practice new patterns and try new things to make beautiful, custom embroidery.

+ Hello, my name is Yevhenii Bailo. I am a former police officer from the Sumy region of Ukraine. I have managed to bring my family to America where we are VERY proud to be working on our U.S. citizenship. Right now we are under refugee status, but fully legal with U-for-U and our own SSN. I am mainly the logistics officer for Princess Olga's while I work on my CDL license. I split my time on three jobs working with a truck delivery company, delivering for Amazon and Door Dash, and assisting Princess Olga's in purchasing necessary material. My wife makes beautiful creations and sometimes amazing things for our own table or for our little boy Matvii (Matthew) to wear. I knew she has a knack for sewing of all kinds when she acquired her master seamstress license in Ukraine and made things for our family. In Ukraine sometimes it is necessary to make our own clothing. Please come and visit our online store and see her latest creations, I think they are really amazing!

+Hello, my name is Ripley Rawlings. I am a Former Marine Corps Reconnaissance Officer of 23-years and an author of military fiction novels. I founded a charity in 2022 and we sent over tons of aid to Ukraine to help the people who are suffering from the constant russian attacks on civilian population centers. In February of 2023 one of our hardest working volunteers, Mr. Zheyna Bailo wanted to start things afresh for his family. We signed he and his family for English lessons and they traveled out of Poland into Canada, then to America (work in Canada was not good). Our friends the Bailo's stay with us and Yana decided she wanted to work to supplement the family's income. We chatted about her qualifications and interests and decided opening a small business around her excellent skills as a master seamstress would be the right thing. It has been challenging getting started as none of us has had any experience running an embroidery shop. We turned to online classes from the Small Business Association and local courses on setting up and running an embroidery business. We purchased some very high quality machinery and have jumped into the business with gusto. We hope you will enjoy our creations. We take a lot of time and pride in getting custom orders just right.
